HiScout DataExchange is the generic import and export interface for data in freely configurable XML formats. The data structures to be imported or exported are configured without any programming skills via drag & drop and are read-in and out via automatic routines. Data, which does not correspond to the configured data format, can be automatically converted prior to import or export. Another application scope is the distribution of generic content, e.g. the norm-specifications for management systems. Import and export can be carried out via the interface of the HiScout software, as well as automatically.

Import and export of any XML format
You can read any XML format into the HiScout database using an XSL-Transformation (XSLT). The HiScout data can be transformed into any other format during export, e.g. into another XML format or CSV.
Configuration via Drag & Drop
Adapt the data structures to be imported or exported to the specified formats using a data query designer, without having to acquire any programming skills, whatsoever.
Definition of the control parameters
Determine further details of the data import, such as, for example, whether the data can be overwritten; or in case of incorrect data records, the entire import should be aborted, or whether subsequent valid data records should be read-in. The control parameters can either be configured via the web interface or via control commands within the XML file to be imported.
Automation of data transfer
The workflows of the HiScout Business Logic Engine add-on allow data exchange to be processed in a fully automated and time-controlled manner.
